How to make DIY Bath Bombs

Bath bombs are the ultimate way to relax in the bath. They are expensive to buy but they are actually very simple  and affordable to make. If you would like to learn how to make your own Bath Bombs then follow this simple DIY bath bombs tutorial. They are just as good as Lush bath bombs and you can customize the color and smell and make gifts that will most certainly be enjoyed!

  • 113g Corn Flour (cornstarch)
  • 225g Baking Soda
  • 113g Citric Acid
  • 113g Epsom Salts
  • 1 tsp Water
  • 2 tsp Essential Oil
  • 3 tsp Oil ( I used olive oil)
  • Food Colouring

Step 1:

Put all your dry ingredients in a bowl and mix them evenly with your whisk.

Step 2

In a different container, add all your liquid ingredients and mix them together.

Step 3

Put a small amount of your liquid mixture to your dry ingredients and mix it thoroughly. Mix until all the liquid has been absorbed by your dry ingredients. Continue adding small amounts of the liquid mixture until you’ve used it all up.

Step 4:

Now that you’ve mixed all the ingredients together, time to put it in the mold. Put a little more than what your mold can hold on both sides and press them together until it clips. You’d want to put more so your mixture get pressed together making it solid.

Step 5

Once it’s pressed, gently tap it with a spoon to loosen your bath bomb.

Let your creation dry for 1-2 days. And you’re done!

Wasn’t that fun and easy. You can make it in different colors and different shapes. Have fun with it. Mix in different colors in your mold to make a galaxy bath bomb. Another tip, you can also add rose petals so when the bomb explodes, you’ll get a nice flower bath too.
